Missing information

In the marines page, the respawn time is explicitely specified. Since the process with Kharaa is different, it might be interesting to describe it here. --GuneeYoufix 15:15, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

What would also be really nice, is to have a visual representation of the build tree of the Kharaa evolution, showing dependencies between the different structures and upgrades.

Those are very good suggestions. For the Kharaa respawn time, I am hesitant on adding it until it is more finalized (since wave spawn is highly variable, unlike a simple tweak in Marine respawn time); the details can be found in the Egg article for the time being. A tech-tree layout for both Frontiersmen and Kharaa mains would be wonderful, as well as in the Commander pages. I will create Tech Tree for experimentation in the future --PsiWarp 03:17, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Sections Revising

I have created Kharaa_Main_Revise as a first pass! Please use the Discussion page of that article (moving previous discussions here to there)--PsiWarp 06:26, 26 April 2012 (UTC)

How about starting with the Background section alone, then have 2 sections, one for regular lifeforms and the FPS part, the other for Commander and RTS part of the game? --GuneeYoufix 15:13, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

I think the current layout is mostly as you described, except Background is under the lifeforms and associated evolutions/abilities. I will tweak Kharaa Main Revise according to your suggestions and see how that goes; please use Talk:Kharaa_Main_Revise to discuss the changes! --PsiWarp 03:17, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Images for wall of text

This applies to Frontiersmen main as well. Since we have added more descriptions on both sides, I find that it is less attractive to read for the common folk (not everyone is immediately interested, you know), and often just scroll down for the game content. Any ideas on what images could be put in the upper sections?--PsiWarp 19:14, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

The problem with adding relevant images to the background sections is that, quite frankly, there are very few images that exist that would be appropriate for this lore that was established back in the days of NS1. You'd be hard pressed to find images depicting the charter, or the Ariadne arm, or even bacterium for that matter. We could probably get away with some vague screenshots from NS1 or 2 that could illustrate some key themes or scenes, but the only Lore we can gather is from stories like Six days in Sanjii or from the NS1 manual, which contained no real images that were directly visualizing what they were describing. I can understand that walls of text may not be the most ideal method, but i'm not sure there are many better alternatives. We could find, or possibly create relevant images for these sections, but those will inflate the section and make the overall article longer without much additional "meat". We could try abridging the text so its less imposing on new visitors, but i fear that omitting certain details would detract from the significance of the lore, which is still pretty meaningful when considering the circumstances and meaningfulness of the game's scenarios. Alternatively we could open up new articles specifically geared towards the lore of each faction and then link to those articles on the main articles. However the problem with this is that (although i don't really have a problem with this myself) people tend to not like having to switch between articles frequently, and would prefer to have more information in one place. If there is a better solution or a compromise that anyone thinks would work out, feel free to propose and make changes you think would be beneficial. --Heroman117 03:47, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Lore

The background section could use some expansion (since it was only copied from previous lore section), although I don't know where to find the "official" lore :P--PsiWarp 08:33, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

I went ahead and took the liberty to bring the lore section up to reasonable quality. I think covered everything necessary that isn't already explained in detail elsewhere, applying relevant NS1 canon and making NS2 specific revisions. Any thoughts? --Heroman117 08:00, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Well done! It now contains very juicy information for the lore-lovers out there.--PsiWarp 20:37, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
